SCR Quick Guide
Kubota uses a Selective Catalytic Reduction system on some diesel engines to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations, like many other leading manufacturers. SCR systems use Diesel Exhaust Fluid, or DEF, to dramatically reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. Kubota has prepared an “SCR Quick Guide” to take the mystery out of this new technology. It includes an overview of the SCR system; introduces DEF and its shelf life and storage requirements; covers the operator interface and warning indications; describes the Operator Inducement System and the DEF Thaw Control Mode; and explains what happens during engine shut-down. This is essential and helpful information for anybody using an SCR-equipped engine. For further details click on the image below.
